Are these holiday templates really free to customize?▼
Yes. Editing any template in the PostKnock Design Studio is free, with no credit card required. You only pay per piece when you actually mail — from $1.05 per 4×6 card on the Free plan and from $0.79 on Pro. Printing and USPS First-Class postage are included in that per-piece price.
When should I mail holiday postcards?▼
For gift-card and holiday-gift offers, mailing in mid-to-late November through early December tends to land while people are still shopping. New Year and "fresh start" offers (common for gyms and fitness) work best mailed in late December or the first week of January. Because PostKnock prints and mails via USPS First-Class, build in a few days for production and delivery — and on Pro you can schedule a multi-wave sequence so an early push is followed by a last-call reminder.
What makes a good holiday postcard?▼
A warm, seasonal headline, one clear and specific offer (a gift-card bonus, a percentage off, or a "first month free" deal), your business name and phone number, and an easy next step — a QR code to your booking page or gift-card shop works well. Keep it to a single call-to-action rather than crowding the card with multiple offers. Every field in these templates is editable.
Do holiday postcards actually work?▼
Results vary by industry, offer, list quality, and timing, so treat any number as an estimate. Industry studies (such as the ANA Response Rate Report) typically report direct-mail response in the low single digits, with house lists — like your own customers — landing toward the higher end of that range. Pairing the postcard with a follow-up phone call generally lifts response further. These are industry ranges, not PostKnock results.
Which industries do you have templates for?▼
PostKnock includes pre-built playbooks and starting designs for 50+ industries — med spa, nail and hair salons, gyms and fitness studios, dental, optometry, veterinary, restaurants, retail, and many more. The three above are examples; you can adapt any template to your business in the Design Studio.
How do I get my customer list into PostKnock?▼
Export your customers from whatever system you already use as a CSV file, then upload that CSV to PostKnock. The import wizard auto-maps name, address, and phone columns. PostKnock does not connect to your CRM, point-of-sale, or scheduling software directly; the supported path is CSV export and import. If you'd rather reach an entire area than a named list, use EDDM-style saturation mailing instead.
Can I add follow-up phone calls to a holiday campaign?▼
Yes, on the Pro plan. After a postcard is delivered, the built-in Call Queue populates so your front desk can work a daily list of follow-up calls using per-wave scripts — perfect for nudging gift-card buyers or January sign-ups. You can also run multi-touch wave sequences (up to 5 waves) so non-responders automatically advance to the next touch.
What postcard sizes can I send?▼
PostKnock supports three sizes: 4×6, 6×9, and 6×11. The templates above are shown at 4×6, the most common and lowest-cost option, but a larger 6×9 or 6×11 card can stand out more in a busy holiday mailbox. You can switch sizes in the Design Studio.
