How it works

Pick your ZIP codes
Search or drag the map to your town and add the 5-digit ZIP codes you serve — as many as you like. Add and remove them as much as you want until the selection covers your service area. Prefer a form? The same search works without the map.
See the free count
PostKnock shows how many mailable addresses match and what they'd cost. Narrow it if you want — homeowners, new movers, families with kids, pet owners, or an age, income, or home-value range. Searching and counting will always be free. (Both are part of the same early-access release.)
Add the list & mail Early access
This step isn’t switched on yet. Once it is, you confirm the exact address count and total and PostKnock adds every home as a “Current Resident” contact. Today you can do the same thing with a list you already have: import it, drop it into any campaign, and mail real USPS postcards — with the design studio, proofing, scheduling, and QR/URL tracking that are already live.

Where the addresses come from
PostKnock pulls residential occupant addresses from a licensed mailing-data partner and mails them through our USPS print & mail provider — the same pipeline behind every other PostKnock postcard.
Because every piece is addressed to “Current Resident” rather than a named person, this is ordinary household-level mail — the kind your USPS carrier delivers to every door every day. You don't need anyone's name, phone number, or consent to drop a postcard in their mailbox.
You'll always see the exact number of mailable addresses for your ZIP codes before you're charged, so there are no surprises.

Do I need a mailing list to use this?▼
No — that's the whole point. You pick the ZIP codes you serve and PostKnock builds the list of addresses inside them for you. It's ideal for new businesses, grand openings, and prospecting neighborhoods where you don't yet have any customer data.
Is the search really free?▼
Yes — searching and counting will always be free. Geo-prospecting as a whole is in limited early access, though, and isn't enabled on every account yet. Once it is, you're only charged when you buy the list — and you see the exact address count and total before any money leaves your wallet.
What does it cost?▼
These are the planned rates — geo-prospecting is in limited early access and not buyable yet. Searching and counting are free. When you buy the list, a per-address data fee comes out of your PostKnock wallet, priced on volume: $0.15 per address up to 2,999, then $0.14 from 3,000, $0.12 from 5,000, $0.10 from 10,000, and $0.09 from 25,000. The whole order bills at the one rate its size lands in. After that, mailing those contacts costs the same per-piece postage and printing as any other PostKnock postcard (from $0.91 for a 4×6 on the Pro plan). No subscription is required to use it.
Whose name is on the postcard?▼
None. Postcards from a ZIP-code search are addressed to “Current Resident” — the household, not a named person. It's the same address-level mail USPS carriers deliver every day, so you don't need anyone's name or consent to send a postcard.
How accurate is the address count?▼
The number shown as you pick ZIP codes is a live count from our mailing-data partner, so it's close — but the underlying file changes, so treat it as approximate. Before you're charged, PostKnock shows the exact number of addresses that will be delivered and the total, and you confirm that.
Can I follow up with phone calls?▼
Phone follow-up needs a known person to call. Current Resident mail is anonymous by design, so it doesn't come with phone numbers. Many businesses pair a Current Resident blanket mailing with a separate targeted list (where you do have names and numbers) for call follow-up.

How is this different from EDDM?▼
EDDM is a USPS postage product where you pick whole carrier routes and never receive any addresses. Picking ZIP codes in PostKnock gives you an actual list of Current Resident addresses that live in your PostKnock account — you choose exactly which ZIP codes to cover, mail First-Class, and track QR and URL responses per send.
